US House's focus on Pakistan's democratic gaps must not be ignored

Islamabad needs to act more seriously to improve national unity

It would be a mistake by Pakistan's rulers to simply ignore the targeting of their country by the U.S. Congress, which has introduced a bipartisan bill calling for sanctions, citing democratic and human rights gaps in the South Asian country.
