Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey tussle over Syria, oil prices

TOKYO -- Russia, Saudi Arabia and Iran have intensified diplomatic maneuvering over the ongoing Syrian conflict and crude oil prices.

     Turkey's recent shooting down of a Russian military airplane has further complicated the situation surrounding the Syrian civil war, underscoring how difficult it is for major powers to form a united front against the Islamic State group.
