UNITED NATIONS -- The improved relations between North and South Korea ahead of the upcoming Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang are encouraging but do not undercut the importance of removing nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula, U.N. chief Antonio Guterres said Friday.
"I think it is positive that the inter-Korean relations improved, and I was especially encouraged by the re-establishment of this hotline, military hotline, to avoid situations that get out of control," Guterres told reporters. "But this is just part of the problem."
