MANILA -- Foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) urged North Korea on Saturday to desist from raising tensions on the Korean Peninsula after the isolated communist nation successfully tested two long-range missiles last month.

The ministers from the 10 member nations condemned Pyongyang's testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) because of the threat they pose to peace and prosperity in the region.
