BANGKOK -- Thailand's main opposition People's Party used a two-day parliamentary censure debate to question Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra about her father Thaksin Shinawatra's influence on the government.

The prime minister easily survived a no-confidence vote on Wednesday, 319-162, but the debate allowed the opposition to air in the legislature allegations that have dogged Paetongtarn over her seven-month tenure.
