SYDNEY -- The morning after leading his party to a massive election win, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told reporters on Sunday at a cafe near his home in western Sydney that his next term would be "disciplined and orderly" as he seeks to address daunting economic challenges.
Australia's rising cost of living was the centerpiece issue of the campaign and Albanese's administration now must devise policies that can ease immediate financial pressures on households while addressing the more complex question of how to boost growth over the next three years as U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs roil the international order.
