BEIJING -- China's top economic officials on Thursday urged the U.S. to engage in talks to rein in the spiraling tariff conflict but said there is still "sufficient" room to roll out more stimulus policies if the battle escalates.
On the sidelines of the annual Two Sessions -- the National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) -- Commerce Minister Wang Wentao slammed Washington's tariffs as "classic examples of unilateralism and protectionism."
