BEIJING -- China's top anti-corruption agency said Monday that former Justice Minister Tang Yijun has been stripped of his Communist Party membership over allegations that include receiving illicit income and abuse of power.

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection opened an investigation into Tang in April on suspicion of "serious disciplinary violations."
