SHANGHAI -- China's Communist Party defended the ruling party's approval of a historical resolution that emphasizes its achievements, rather than its missteps, party officials said on Friday.

However, some officials sounded a cautious note, warning against hasty implementation of policies aimed at achieving zero carbon emissions in China.
