SHANGHAI/HONG KONG -- Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang has been removed from his post, the country's top legislative body said Tuesday without elaborating.
In an emergency meeting, the National People's Congress Standing Committee withdrew Qin's ministerial portfolio and reappointed his predecessor, Wang Yi, as his replacement.
