BEIJING -- The Chinese and Russian militaries will conduct joint sea and air drills around the Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk this month, China's Ministry of National Defense announced on Monday.
The aim is to "deepen strategic cooperation between the Chinese and Russian militaries and strengthen their ability to jointly deal with security threats," the ministry said in a statement.
