WASHINGTON -- China's newest nuclear-powered submarine sank at a shipyard near Wuhan this year, Pentagon officials said on Thursday.
"We can confirm that the submarine sank pier-side. It is unclear if it was carrying nuclear fuel at the time," a spokesperson told Nikkei Asia.
