SEOUL -- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said in a New Year's address that his country and the U.S. will complete a strengthened defense posture in the first half of the year, a further escalation of the allies' response to North Korea's growing armament.
Yoon said Monday in Seoul that the bolstered defense posture will "completely block" North Korea's nuclear and missile threats, as part of a broad-ranging speech that touched on such topics as housing, education and the economy.
