SEOUL -- South Korea said Monday it test-launched a solid-fuel rocket under development and successfully placed a satellite into orbit as the country increases surveillance on North Korea.
The rocket, the work of the Defense Ministry's Agency for Defense Development, was launched off the coast of Jeju Island, marking a third test flight.
