WASHINGTON -- The U.S. intends to increase defense industrial cooperation with Japan, India and other partners in the Indo-Pacific, a senior Pentagon official told Nikkei Asia, to build supply chain resilience in the face of threats like China.
"A strong industrial base is a deterrent," said Laura Taylor-Kale, assistant secretary of defense for industrial base policy.
