Eurasian leaders at ASEM back Erdogan amid Turkey's coup

ULAANBAATAR -- European and Asian countries have called for the restoration of Turkey's "constitutional order" after a coup attempt shook up a major regional summit here.

EU leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Finish Prime Minister Juha Sipila, attending the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting summit, or ASEM, met early Saturday to discuss the crisis in Turkey. The gathering is taking place in the Mongolian capital.
