Facebook bans pro-Duterte 'fake news' sites

MANILA -- Facebook has blocked a number of websites that support Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte but are suspected of spreading fake news, drawing pushback from the administration.

At least 20 confirmed sites with links from pro-Duterte Facebook pages have been blocked with notices citing security issues. Users cannot post links to the sites.
