OSAKA -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe played the role of host during the Group of 20 summit in Osaka on Friday and Saturday, but he was also a facilitator in bringing together U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping for direct talks.

The American and Chinese leaders capitalized on Abe's hospitality and on Saturday agreed to restart their trade negotiations. This is a recap of some of the gatherings, events and activities that took place in Osaka over the past two days.
