Graham Webster: US, China need to address cybersecurity

Politics and moves by both the U.S. and Chinese governments have almost guaranteed this year's U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue will produce little progress on the important issue of cybersecurity. Instead, this week's high-level bilateral talks in Beijing are focusing on other pressing issues, including trade and investment, North Korea's nuclear ambitions, maritime disputes and climate change.

   Yet the two governments will one day have to confront the cybersecurity issue head-on and doing so now would be easier and less risky than during a crisis.
