JAKARTA -- Indonesians will cast their ballots on Wednesday in what is the world's largest direct presidential vote, determining the direction of Southeast Asia's largest economy for the next five years.
The election is a three-way fight between Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, 72, former Jakarta Gov. Anies Baswedan, 54, and former Central Java Gov. Ganjar Pranowo, 55. The winner will take over from incumbent President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, who is not running this time as he is constitutionally barred from a third term.
