Indonesian TV stations warned over biased election coverage

JAKARTA -- Two of Indonesia's major national television stations have been warned by a regulatory organization over biased election coverage.

The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, known as KPI, sent letters of warning to Metro TV and tvOne, saying they violated broadcast standards by airing content that was biased toward one of the two presidential candidates. KPI said it will advise the Ministry of Communications to stop renewing their broadcasting licenses if it does not see any improvement.
