SAN FRANCISCO -- U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in San Francisco on Tuesday for a closely watched meeting that could set the tone for future ties between the two superpowers.

Wednesday's summit will be held at the historic Filoli estate, 45 kilometers south of San Francisco, Voice of America reported early Tuesday, adding that it will last four hours and include lunch and a stroll in the garden. The White House refused to confirm the location. The Chinese Embassy in Washington said, "Further information about the meeting will be released by China's Foreign Ministry in due course."
