JAKARTA -- U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken goes on his first tour of Southeast Asian countries next week in a bid to project Washington's progressive involvement in a region where China is expanding its influence.
Blinken first visits Indonesia for two days through Dec. 14, a senior Indonesian official said. The secretary is expected to meet his counterpart, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, and other officeholders.
