Cambodian PM Hun Manet pledges stronger China ties in Beijing visit

HANOI/BEIJING -- Cambodia wants to make its relationship with China even stronger, the country's new prime minister, Hun Manet, said at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Friday.

Hun Manet is making his first overseas trip outside of international conferences since taking office in August. He expressed gratitude for China's economic support and vowed to deepen cooperation on Beijing's Belt and Road infrastructure initiative.
