SHANGHAI -- China and Russia on Tuesday pledged to step up cooperation in fighting terrorism after the deadly attack on a Moscow music venue last month, as the neighbors' top diplomats met in Beijing.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, hosting counterpart Sergey Lavrov, described the bilateral relationship as "mature, resilient and profound," according to a Chinese readout. Wang stressed that the two countries prioritize cooperation under their comprehensive strategic partnership, the highest level of diplomatic ties.
