BEIJING -- The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China hopes for "lawful, fair and just procedures" for a Japanese company employee detained in China over accusations of spying, the chairman of the business organization said at a news conference here on Wednesday.
Chairman Tetsuro Homma, who is also an executive vice president at Panasonic Holdings, spoke as the chamber released its yearly white paper to promote dialogue with Chinese central and local governments.
