TOKYO/JAKARTA -- Prabowo Subianto left for Beijing on Friday, the first leg of his maiden foreign tour as Indonesian president that might include a meeting with Donald Trump.

The former defense minister, who is slated to visit China, the U.S., Peru, Brazil and the U.K. through Nov. 24, stressed the importance of the trip that comes only three weeks after he assumed the leadership of Southeast Asia's largest economy.
