NEW DELHI -- India will suspend a water-sharing treaty and close a border crossing with Pakistan "with immediate effect," New Delhi announced Wednesday, a day after a terror attack in the Jammu and Kashmir region killed 26 people.

India also said it will cancel visas for some Pakistani nationals and directed some embassy staff to leave.
