SYDNEY -- France will host a meeting of defense chiefs from Pacific island nations in New Caledonia during early December, as Paris seeks greater involvement in the Indo-Pacific through its territories in the region.
French defense minister Sebastien Lecornu and Australian counterpart Richard Marles will attend, along with defense chiefs from several Pacific nations, Radio New Zealand reported.
