Philippines' Marcos to visit U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii

Trip to come after APEC summit this month as tensions with China mount

WASHINGTON -- Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is planning to visit the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command headquarters in the state of Hawaii this month, people familiar with the matter told Nikkei.

Marcos is slated to stop in Hawaii after attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders meeting in San Francisco from Nov. 15 to Nov. 17, the sources said.
