TOKYO -- The supply chain agreement under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) goes into effect Saturday, but former U.S. President Donald Trump's potential return to the White House threatens to paralyze the 14-member pact just as it is starting to get off the ground.
IPEF members first struck a deal on supply chains -- one of four pillars within the U.S.-led framework -- in May last year, then signed the finalized agreement in November.
