TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said he will embark Thursday on a trip to Peru for a summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum and then go to Brazil for the Group of 20 leaders meeting.

During a press conference after his reelection as prime minister on Monday, Ishiba said he wants to hold talks with U.S. President Joe Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol while in South America.
