Top envoys from both countries hold meeting to better improve ties

TOKYO -- The top envoys of Japan and China met in Beijing on Wednesday to pave the way for more high-level exchanges as the two countries aim to improve ties.

Speaking to reporters after meeting his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya said both sides agreed to verify a deal on resuming Chinese imports of marine products from Japan.
