JAKARTA -- Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida arrived here Tuesday for a set of regional summits, ready to respond to China's criticism over the release of treated water from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant into the Pacific Ocean.

The meetings also will be attended by Chinese Premier Li Qiang, who is expected to take the opportunity to criticize Tokyo over the wastewater discharge on the international stage.
