TOKYO -- Japan and Australia are set to agree to promote private-sector investment in Pacific island nations as Tokyo looks to Canberra to help Japanese companies do more business in the region.
Japan's trade minister Yasutoshi Nishimura is visiting Australia and is expected to attend the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Japan External Trade Organization, or JETRO, and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission.
