NEW YORK -- Senior officials of Myanmar's military should be subject to international sanctions for their role in atrocities against the country's Rohingya minority, Amnesty International argues in a new report.

The report, issued on Tuesday, charges nine discrete crimes against humanity perpetrated against the Rohingya. These include widespread rape; torture; murder, such as through land mines; and persecution, such as through targeted burning of villages.
