VILNIUS, Lithuania -- Before the annual NATO summit had even kicked off, Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters on Tuesday, "This summit is already historic."

The previous evening, he had finally convinced Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to lift his blockade of Sweden's entry into the alliance.
