Nikkei Asian Review wins regional journalism award

Asian Media Awards lauds coverage of US immigration crackdown and its impact on Asia

The Nikkei Asian Review was recognized by a global publishing organization for its coverage of U.S. President Donald Trump's tough immigration policies.

TOKYO -- The Nikkei Asian Review was honored on Wednesday with a Bronze prize from the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, or WAN-IFRA, for its coverage of foreign students and undocumented immigrants in the U.S. under President Donald Trump.

It was the first time the publication entered the association's Asian Media Awards competition, which recognizes excellence in journalism published in the previous year by newspapers and magazines in the Asia-Pacific region and Middle East.
