KUALA LUMPUR/SINGAPORE -- Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said on Wednesday that he is open to proposals from Malaysia over a revived high-speed railway project as Kuala Lumpur began short-listing submissions from the private sector.

"Whatever the new ideas are, we will keep an open mind and we will discuss it in the right spirit of taking our relationship forward," Wong said at a joint news conference with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Putrajaya, the country's federal administrative city near Kuala Lumpur.
