NEW DELHI -- Sri Lanka's economic crisis, Nepal's approaching foreign reserves calamity, and Pakistan's political and financial chaos are giving neighbor India simultaneous headaches, but they are also providing opportunities for New Delhi.

They could help India's efforts to strengthen regional ties and counter China's growing influence in the region.
