Taiwan's Tsai hosts Baltic lawmakers, seeking closer cooperation

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have no diplomatic relations with the island

TAIPEI -- Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen met Monday with visiting lawmakers from three Baltic nations, as all sides agreed to cooperate more closely in their shared fight against authoritarianism.

Tsai received the parliamentarians from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia at the Presidential Office. Taiwan currently holds no formal diplomatic relations with any of the three Baltic states.
