WASHINGTON -- The U.S. and Philippines are rapidly drawing closer, as evidenced by an agreement on Monday by the countries' presidents regarding stability around the Taiwan Strait and that region's importance to "global security and prosperity."

"I can't think of any better partner than you." U.S. President Joe Biden stressed while meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the White House.
