WASHINGTON -- The U.S. on Friday unveiled its new national strategy in the Arctic, warning of "increasing strategic competition" exacerbated by Russia and China and calling for greater cooperation among allies to "uphold international law, rules, norms and standards" in the region.
The strategy, which is an update of a 2013 document released by former President Barack Obama's administration, covers the U.S. agenda in the region over the next 10 years.
