TOKYO -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan on Wednesday discussed a possible "leader-level call" in the coming weeks, according to the White House, suggesting that presidents Xi Jinping and Joe Biden may at least hold one more online meeting before the latter leaves office.

China's state news agency Xinhua said the officials "discussed a new round of interaction between the two countries' heads of state in the near future."
