WASHINGTON -- The U.S. will continue to transit the Taiwan Strait despite China using "dangerous maneuvers" to discourage freedom of navigation exercises, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi told Nikkei.

The congressman is the leading Democrat on the House committee on competition between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party, a panel that was established this year to address threats posed by China.
