LIMA, Peru -- Chinese President Xi Jinping told U.S. counterpart Joe Biden on Saturday that China was ready to work with Donald Trump for a smooth transition and improved relations.

The leaders reflected on the relationship of the world's two largest economies during Biden's term, with the U.S. president saying that despite tensions, "with the two of us at the helm, we have also engaged in fruitful dialogues and cooperation, and generally achieved stability."
