HONG KONG -- American companies' business outlook for China has sunk to a record low, according to a new survey released on Monday, driven by tense diplomatic relations and regulatory crackdowns.

China's strict zero-COVID measures, including citywide lockdowns and travel restrictions, have also become a top challenge for foreign companies operating in China, according to the U.S.-China Business Council's annual member survey.
