WASHINGTON -- The U.S. should create a cross-agency body tasked with drafting sanctions targeting China in the event of a conflict in the Taiwan Strait, a U.S. congressional advisory panel said in a report released Tuesday.

The report comes as the U.S. assesses the possibility of China using force to unify with Taiwan, wreaking havoc on global supply chains.
