WASHINGTON -- The U.S. will continue to manage a challenging economic relationship with China next year through "durable" communication and prevent tensions from escalating, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says in a prepared policy speech.
"We aim to make our communication resilient so that when we disagree, when shocks occur, we prevent misunderstanding from leading to escalation and causing harm," Yellen says in excerpts of a speech that will be delivered at the U.S.-China Business Council on Thursday evening local time.
