NEW YORK -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to begin a new round of trade talks on Thursday in their first reported conversation since the two countries began imposing duties on each other's goods and other trade restrictions.
The two leaders spoke over the phone about the trade proposal reached in Geneva, according to a Chinese readout and Trump's social media post. The time and location of the future trade meeting was not revealed.
